Love Maine Photo Essay - Acadia National Park

September 06, 2017 1 min read

A weekend on Mount Desert Island is a weekend well spent. The island is most notably home to Acadia National Park, but adventuring off the beaten path reveals some hidden gems not commonly seen by most visitors. Bass Harbor, Squid Cove, and the (relatively) quiet Gorham Mountain trail offer the scenic views without the crowds sometimes found on MDI during the peak of summer.

With Labor Day now in our rearview mirror, traffic will begin to slow to many of Maine's summer hotspots. Now is your chance to cross those last few places off your summer to-do list; September offers great weather, warm ocean waters, and less-than-normal traffic to all your favorite beaches, hikes, and destinations. Get to it and #LiveMaine to the fullest.
